According to you, if every soul takes birth to even everything they have done in the their past birth so there should be a fixed number of souls. An increasing population means that more souls are taking birth even though they don't have anything to do with others or their past birth. How can that be possible?

You need to understand 2 things:
1. How is our next birth decided?
Depending on our karma, karmic account with souls, our left our desires, etc. our net birth's location, the family, etc is decided. Every soul have a part to play in this drama. Soul chooses to become, chooses to do something good or opposite. As the choice is made, soul develops such nature. For example, if someone starts crying in small matter, then graudually, this becomes his/her nature.
2. New Souls part in drama?
Your question is very nice.
The part of new souls who just comes from Paramdham (shantidham or sweet silence home) is not decided on their past karma accounts, but on their sanskar. There is the human soul tree in our sweet home, where we all souls stay in a tree like structure (God is the supreme soul - the ''seed'' of this tree)
So different parts of this tree represents different Sanskar (nature of souls).
Second point of birth is that any new soul when first comes in world, MUST experience happiness. Hence it is sure that all the new souls will take birth at a good place. However, tit is also true that new souls comes under the influence of maya (vices) very soon. Or atleast those new souls does not play a hero part in drama. They get 50 to 75% of happiness in their life journey.
You may observe in many European countries, such new souls will live.
